N.I.N.A. Version 3.2 is here!

Hey folks,

Version 3.2 is finally out! 🎉

As always, this release comes with a ton of improvements, new features, performance enhancements, and bugfixes – plus a few exciting changes under the hood that make N.I.N.A. even smoother and more reliable.

Here are some highlights I’d like to mention:

Smarter Device Management

Devices are now handled more intelligently – unavailable devices will show up as “Offline” instead of “No Device,” and the new native ZWO EAF and SVBony camera drivers make connecting hardware easier than ever.
Profiles also load much faster now, thanks to improved caching and on-demand loading.

Sequencer and Imaging Improvements

Large sequences should now load much faster with proper UI virtualization, and new lock options prevent accidental rearrangements or edits while imaging. A similar lock mechanism is also available for the imaging tab so you no longer accidentally close or re-arrange your windows.
Small usability tweaks all around make the experience much more fluid.

Star Detection

The N.I.N.A. Star Detector has been enhanced to calculate and display accurate centroids in the annotator.

Plugin Isolation

Behind the scenes, plugins now run in their own AssemblyLoadContexts, meaning no more dependency clashes between different plugins. It’s a big step toward a more robust and future-proof ecosystem.

There’s a lot more in this release – from new weather data sources and guiding enhancements to refined dome safety logic and time-based condition handling.

You can find the full list of changes in the release notes.

Thank you all for your continued support and enthusiasm – it really means a lot and keeps this project moving forward.

Clear skies and happy imaging!
